Welcome to the Los Angeles Mission College “online” education program. The program
offers flexible courses from any computer with access to the Internet. Here are some frequently asked questions and answers which will assist you with general information regarding our online program. Take Four (4) easy steps to enroll in our online classes.

                                                     Steps to take

Step 1
: Make sure you are ready to do an online course and take this online learning orientation
(designed by Vivian Sinou for the California Community College Distance Learning Consortium (CCC DLC)

Step 2: Apply for Admission as a student in L.A. Mission College Student (required) - if you are already a student, then skip Step 2, and go to Step 3. PLEASE NOTE: If you have problems applying for admission "online" because the LACCD server cannot process your application, please email Prof. Jordan at abogado@pacbell.net, he will send you the application form, return it to him, and he will forward it along to your instructor so the application can be properly processed with admissions, and you will be ensured a place in your online class.

Step 3
: Enroll in your "online class" - (required) two methods are available. By Internet (follow the onscreen instructions) or by Phone by using the STEP system ( The phone system is operational from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM Monday through Saturday. Students may call (818) 988-2222, (213) 689-8888, or (310) 605-0505 to access the system.) PLEASE NOTE: If you have problems enrolling in your "online"class, please email Prof. Jordan at abogado@pacbell.net, he will contact your instructor, and the instructor will process an "add slip" to ensure you are properly enrolled in your online class.

: Email your instructor to advise him/her you are taking the class.(required).

4. 28 INTERMEDIATE READING AND COMPOSITION 3 UNITS
Satisfies the English requirement for an AA degree.
Prerequisite: English 21 with a grade of "C" or better, or appropriate English
placement results, or by permit.
English 28 is a course in reading and writing designed to strengthen the student's
ability to use basic communication skills, including grammar, spelling, punctuation,
and sentence construction. Instruction will include the assignment of full-length

This is the first freshman composition course that meets requirements for the BA at
four-year colleges and universities, comprising intensive reading, writing of essays,
term papers, the study of style, methods of discourse, logic, and documentation.
