clear thesis intro./organization/conclusion proper tone & english conventions	clear thesis well organized no mistakes clearly communicated ideas	might have some english mistakes does not impede understanding	some mechanchanical errors not as well organized
3 persuasive arguments	well written persuasive logical arguments at least 3 arguments	3 arguments may not be as clearly argued no logical errors	3 arguments poorly discussed & analyzed some errors in logical thinking which detracts from argument	less than 3 arguments poorly organized
